To enforce UDFC rules, policies and codes of conduct the Club’s President, Vice Presidents and special event coordinators have the power to warn and/or sanction players, coaches, participants and spectators for violations. The UDFC rules, policies and codes of conduct are available for review on the club’s website and hard copies can be provided upon request by the Club Secretary.
Levels of warnings & sanctions-
Verbal Request for compliance with a UDFC policy – Report not required
Verbal Warning – Incident report to be provided to Club Secretary
Written Warning – Incident report to be provided to the individual and Club Secretary
Written Warning with Sanction – Incident report to be provided to the individual and Club Secretary
Suspension from Club participation – for a period from one week or game up to one year
Expulsion from Club participation – Permanent
It is intended that the levels of warning and sanction be progressive and that the minimum level necessary to ensure compliance with the policy be used. Multiple instances of use the same level of warning or sanction for similar violations of a policy is permissible.
The Club Secretary will maintain a record of all incident reports.
The program coordinators will provide the board of directors with a monthly summary of current warnings and sanctions.
All written warnings are subject to automatic review by a panel consisting of 3 club directors (not to include the program coordinator involved) prior to a sanction being enforced. Individuals who have received a sanction may request a final review by contacting the Club Secretary. The review is to be conducted by the board of directors, at the next scheduled board meeting. Decisions of the review panel and/or the board of directors will be determined by simple majority.
