VOLUNTEERING WITH UDFC

Make a difference in the lives of area kids. Volunteer with Upper Darby Futbol Club.

As an all-volunteer organization, UDFC needs engaged, motivated parents to keep our youth programs operating year-round. Soccer experience is not needed to contribute -- just a desire to provide a great experience for our children.

All skills and talents are welcome. Some of the ways you can help the club:
Leadership & Strategic planning
Club Finance and Admin
Project Management
Fundraising and Sponsorship development
Grant and proposal writing
Communications and social media
Graphic design and web development
Game day set up and field monitoring

And of course we can always use coaches, assistant coaches and managers for all levels of play.

SAFE SPORTS REQUIREMENTS FOR COACHES, MANAGERS & LEADERSHIP

To comply with applicable PA Laws, all UDFC volunteers 18 years and older, who will be in direct contact with children and have primary responsible for the welfare of children during UDFC-sponsored activities, are required to provide the clearances listed, complete safety certifications and familiarize themselves with the PA mandatory child abuse reporter rules.

REQUIRED CLEARANCES -Clearances are good for 5 years and can be used for multiple organizations. Current clearances need to be scanned and Uploaded to your UDFC volunteer signup. Contact the club administrator if you need assistance with completing these.

1. PA State Police Criminal Records Check - Free - Online - Instant Results -
2. PA Child Abuse Database Check - Free - Online - Results 1-5 days -
3. Federal (FBI) Criminal Records Check - complete one of the options below based on your state residency history -

3A. FBI Criminal Background Check - $35 Fee - Submit receipt for reimbursement by Club - Results 1-2 Weeks
ONLY required for volunteers who HAVE NOT been a PA resident for the last 10 years. You must scheduling an in-person fingerprinting appointment through IdentiGO.

OR

3B. Affidavit of Exemption from FBI Check - Free - Affidavit Online - ONLY for volunteers who HAVE been a PA resident for the last 10 years. Affirm in writing that you are qualified to volunteer by not having been convicted of a disqualifying offense. Anyone can sign as a witness.
